Members of the Friendship Group of the BiH PA talked with Jordanian parliamentarians

 
Members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Jordanian Parliament, on a multi-day visit to our country, spoke today in the BiH PA building with members of the BiH PA’s Friendship Group for relations with countries of the Middle East, Ismeta Dervoz and Salko Sokolović, about the promotion of friendly relations between the two countries.

Stressing that Jordan stands with BiH in its most difficult moments, the Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Jordanian Parliament, Dr. Hazem Qashou, said that his country will find a way to help BiH to repair the tragic consequences of the floods, and announced a stronger presence in BiH for the foreseeable future

Ismeta Dervoz, member of the Friendship Group, expressed her gratitude to her Jordanian counterparts, who announced visits to those areas in BiH affected by the floods and also expressed confidence that the friendly state of Jordan will support and assist BiH in the future.

Ms. Dervoz said that a protocol on co-operation between the two countries in the field of culture will soon be signed, and expressed the hope that the signing of that protocol will lay the groundwork for co-operation in this area.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Qashou invited BiH parliamentarians to visit the Jordanian Parliament, as well as the country itself, where, he said, people from BiH have many friends. (end)
