Collegium of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH spoke with the President of the Republic of Slovenia

 
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Denis Bećirović, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples, Staša Košarac, the Chair of the Bosniak People's Caucus and delegate in the House of Peoples, Halid Genjac, and a representative of the House of Representatives, Boško Tomić, met today with the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr Borut Pahor. The hosts expressed their gratitude to their high-ranking guest for Slovenia's assistance to our country in repairing the damage caused by flooding and landslides. The meeting was also an opportunity for the hosts to thank Slovenia for its continuing support to Bosnia and Herzegovina's path towards Euro-Atlantic integration.

In open discussion, Mr Pahor expressed his interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina's current situation, and the institutionalized ability of the Parliamentary Assembly to conduct those processes necessary for BiH’s accession to the European Union. The guest was introduced to different views, but also to the commitment to resolve outstanding political issues through dialogue between the key political players. In addition, the need for the international community to take a constructive role was stressed again, to support our country in moving closer towards the European Union. (end)
