Members of the Delegation of the BiH PA at annual meeting of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Bucharest


The Head of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Parliamentary Assembly of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Milorad Živković, and members of the Delegation, Božo Ljubić and Asim Sarajlić, will attend the 57th meeting of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Bucharest on 7-10 October 2011.

Committee reports will be discussed at the meeting, and it has been envisaged that at a plenary session scheduled for 10 October, the Chairperson of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Dr. Karl A. Lamers, the NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the President of Romania, Traian Basescu, the Speaker of the Romanian Senate, Mircea Dan Geoana, and other officials will address participants.

At the 57th NATO PA meeting, numerous open, modern world issues will be discussed, particularly the engagement in Afghanistan, the new strategic concept of NATO, and the economic crisis impacting on certain NATO Member Countries.
Committee reports and recommendations, adopted at the meeting of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, will be submitted for further consideration to the governments and parliaments of the NATO Member Countries and its Associate Member Countries. (end)
