Members of the Collegium of both Houses spoke with the Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Speaker and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples, Safet Softić and Bariša Čolak, as well as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, talked today with the Delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, which is in a two-day official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Expressing gratitude for the support Saudi Arabia has been continuously providing to Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Collegium of Parliament’s Houses pointed to the fact that the two countries have very good political relations and that communication between their parliaments can be assessed as particularly substantive. At the same time, it was emphasised today, it must be noted that good relations unfortunately are not followed by good economic relations and that there is a large space for cooperation that businessmen could fulfil in a good quality manner.

Members of the Collegium acquainted the high-level guest with their own view of the current situation of Bosnia and Herzegovina which is being marked by the election campaign. In addition, they expressed expectations that the October elections will be held in a correct atmosphere, after which an environment will be created for the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Prince Sultan bin Salman agreed with the view that better economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Bosnia and Herzegovina is necessary. At the meeting, he announced that he would personally see that a delegation of BiH businessmen which could present areas and possible projects for future joint business arrives to his country very soon.
