Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ognjen Tadić, spoke today with the non-resident Ambassador of Mexico to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marco Antonio Garcia Blanco.

Emphasising that the country from which he comes is the 12th economy in the world today, the Ambassador of Mexico expressed the expectation that in the near future, an honorary consulate will be opened in our country, which will help faster establishment of economic ties between our two countries. At the same time, Ambassador Blanco, who also attended the Sarajevo Business Forum and Speaker Tadić, agreed that in the time of advancement of information technologies there is no room for prejudice about the geographical distance being the barrier for the successful economic cooperation of the two friendly countries. Both of them also noted vanishing of perception of problems related to economic cooperation between big and small countries and that good quality business relations should not be hindered by the fact that Mexico is spatially incomparably larger than Bosnia and Herzegovina and that has 30 times more inhabitants or even more.

Speaker Tadić presented today to the Ambassador of Mexico his vision of the current situation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reflecting particularly on efforts invested into ensuring good quality preparation and realisation of the autumn general elections. (End)
