Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Mladen Bosić and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Safet Softić in Brussels at a meeting on the European future of the Western Balkans

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Mladen Bosić, and Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PABiH, Safet Softić, will participate in the Friends of Europe’s annual meeting entitled Western Balkans at the Crossroads - New Challenges, Changing Dynamics, which will be held on December 5 in Brussels.

Issues related to the main security challenges in the region, especially with regard to the influence of external factors on political relations in the Western Balkan countries will be discussed during the three sessions of the event. In addition to key parliamentarians from the Western Balkan countries, the event will also be attended by senior officials from the European Parliament, the European Commission, as well as representatives of the United States of America and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Obstacles to the development of production and economy are also to be mentioned at the meeting in Brussels, and the measures to be undertaken to accelerate economic development in the countries of the Western Balkans.

At the conference, which will be jointly organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and UNDP, in cooperation with the European Commission and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), there will also be a discussion on what can the European Union do to improve the regional cooperation between the Western Balkans countries.
