Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Šefik Džaferović, talked with the Swiss Ambassador to our country

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović, met with the Swiss Ambassador in our country, Ms. Andrea Rauber Saxer.

It was stated during the meeting that relations between BiH and Switzerland are very good both in the political and in all other fields, but that there is certainly room for further improvement. On this occasion, Ambassador Rauber Saxer presented what were basic areas that the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation focused on during the development of the four-year Swiss Cooperation Strategy in BiH 2017-2020.

Deputy Speaker Džaferović expressed his satisfaction that the Strategy focused on strengthening of democratic governance, local community and justice services, as well as on the area of ​​health, economy, employment and the migration partnership. Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude to Switzerland for efforts made by this friendly country and the ones that it intends to make in order to foster the overall development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Swiss Ambassador also showed interest in Džaferović's view of the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They shared the hope for reduced pre-election tensions and negative rhetoric, which not only that it hinders the reform processes, it also deters foreign and Swiss investors from entering the BiH market.
