Members of PABiH Delegation in OSCE PA at its 26th Annual Session

Members of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA), Aleksandra Pandurević, Bariša Čolak and Halid Genjac, participate in the 26th annual session of the OSCE PA, which is being held in Minsk from 5 to 9 July this year.

The annual session of OSCE PA, attended by about 260 representatives of parliaments of the countries of Europe, North America and Asia, commenced by the opening speeches of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, and OSCE PA President, Christine Muttonen.

The main topic of this year's session is: "Strengthening mutual trust and cooperation for peace and prosperity in the OSCE region". As scheduled by the work programme, a large number of high level meetings will be held during the annual session, as well as the election of a new OSCE PA management, i.e. the president and vice-presidents of the Assembly.

Members of the PABiH Delegation in the OSCE PA will, at respective sessions of the Committee on Economic Affairs, the Committee on Political Affairs and the Committee on Democracy and Human Rights, consider and adopt drafts of several resolutions that will become an integral part of the OSCE PA resolution at the end of the annual session. Election of new presidents, vice-presidents and rapporteurs of these committees is also on the agenda of these committees.

Minsk Declaration, a political document that will contain recommendations to governments, parliaments and the international community in the fields of political, security, economic, environmental and human rights is to be adopted at the end of the 26th OSCE PA annual session. Representing common voice of the OSCE members, it is envisaged that this Declaration will help shape both the OSCE and national policies of the OSCE participating States, by incorporating a wide range of issues relating to the obligations and values ​​of this Organization.
