The Spring Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly ended in Tbilisi

By calling for further strengthening of the Antiterrorist Coalition in the fight against ISIL and by stressing the need for stronger cooperation between the member states in the fight against terrorism as well as the need for giving more resources to help the people affected by the refugee crisis, the Spring Assembly of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) ended today in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.

The three-day session, which was attended also by the Chair of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the NATO PA, Nikola Lovrinović, was marked by debates on a number of current world issues and problems.

NATO PA called for strengthening of the cooperation and partnership between the European Union and NATO, as well as for the intensifying of the cooperation with NATO in solving numerous open issues in the MENA region, particularly in Syria and Libya.

During the plenary session, the Declaration supporting Georgia on its Euro-Atlantic path was adopted.

On the margins of the Tbilisi session, the chair Lovrinović had a series of bilateral meetings with members of delegations from NATO member states. During these meetings, they discussed the support to the European and Euro-Atlantic path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and, in particular, the support to the decision to activate the Action Plan for the membership of Bosnia and Herzegovina to NATO.
